At first, I wasn't planning on attending day two, but given my current mental state, I certainly didn't think twice about buying the all weekend pass the night before. My best friend, Donna, couldn't make day two, but my son was more than enthusiastic to join me so with the rousing performance by TROUBLE still looming largely in my head and a few hours sleep under my belt, I was back to Allentown by just after noontime. There was only about ten people there, but the bands had already begun and day two was kicked off. Yesterday was old school and speed, today was mostly hardcore, with some Death thrown in here and there.

WITHOUT END, representing Jersey, was the first band I came upon to start the day. It was a good start. Some heavy Jersey thrash at 12:30 in the afternoon is always a good start. My son and I began to settle in, and after a couple of other bands, we were back up on the rail for an afternoon ass kicking by Chicago's HURTLOCKER. They rose the energy level considerably and got what few of us were there up front and jumpin'! They were awesome. They blew off the roof. Tgod says remember the name HURTLOCKER. Chicago was sure representing well here this weekend. The day seemed to drag a little after that and me and my son spent more time making friends than watching bands, but this is cool too. I met this awesome girl named Becky who was up front next to me for most of last night. Big Slayer fan, like myself. Now she's a cool new friend. She was there for the weekend, so we got to hang out. I love hangin' with the young metal girls. I met alot of cool people throughout the day. My son too. This was an awesome event. I hope it picks up and catches on and becomes a yearly event. We need this shiiaaat!! Plus, it's only a half hour drive from my house.

The day still dragged a bit, but I knew it was about to pick up. Around 6pm was FULL BLOWN CHAOS. You know Tgod loves the New York hardcore. Picked it up they did! They're the new school New York hardcore. I couldn't wait for the old school. Hell yeah. AGNOSTIC FRONT baby! Oh man did they kick butt! They removed the roof. Even got Tgod in the circle. Finally got some sweat going. Yeah. They brought some much needed energy. Crashed the stage and never stopped. AGNOSTIC FRONT still kickin' my ass!! Damn good. Damn good. MACABRE brought their wierd serial murder metal on and Becky got to get in the act on stage with some of their theatrical bits. It was awesome. She got to whip some old perv with a belt, while another girl friend of hers beat him with a stick. It was freakin' cool.

OBITUARY came on strong too. I hadn't seen them since last years March Metal Meltdown in Jersey. They were awesome. Did all the favorites, but seemed to play a short set. Still, it was an awesome one. Good to see those guys back from the dead. There was alot of that here this weekend. Now with the hardcore out of the way, I looked forward to the final day lineup. Oh yeah. Looks like all day Death and Thrash, Thrash, Thrash. Oh and the original Testament. I'll be bringin' the wet suit. Tgod gonna be surfin' for that!
